This site was built to document my efforts to restore a 1982 Camaro Z28 Pace Car replica. It's been a goal of mine to own one of these cars since I was 12 years old and in December, 2011 I finally had the good fortune to be able to buy one.
GM built 6,260 Pace Car replicas in 1982. The car I bought had 67,500 original miles and came from the factory with nearly every available option. The one exception being J65 rear discs.
Hopefully, others trying to do a restoration on any third gen Camaro will find some good information here or maybe even just get some motivation to save these cars. Others who have done similar restorations have certainly inspired me and I hope, through this site, I can help give back to the third gen Camaro community a little bit.
