Painters

Since I'm getting down to having almost everything off the body, I went down and talked to the guys I am going to have paint the car.  A guy who used to work for me went into business with his brother doing body and custom paint work earlier this year.  He'd shown me some of his brother's work and it looked good, and since he was a pretty stand up guy I'd planned to give them a shot.

I'd never met the brother (who is really the owner) so I went down to his shop to talk to him and see what he was about.  Turns out he's also a great guy and definitely knows his stuff.  I told him I wanted it done right and that it didn't need to be a $10,000 trailer queen job but it had to be way better than a $1500 Maaco special.  We both understood each other and agreed how it would be done.

They have one job in November and said they'd call me once that was complete so they could get mine scheduled.  Since I have no real time table, they'll take a little extra time to both make sure everything is perfect and to also document the entire job as some advertising/promotion for their business.

I'll post their info once we get started, but it was kind of a reality check that I'm almost ready to send the car to the booth.
