I ordered a standard small block rebuild kit from Summit a while back, but after doing some research found that the FelPro head gasket is for a standard compression motor.
Since the CFI motors is spec'd at 9.5 compression, you need to use GM 10105115. If you use a standard FelPro gasket, the quech is too large and you will lose some compression -- and on a CFI motor, you need all the help you can get.
I am always trolling around eBay looking for NOS parts that I might need.
Today, I found OE GM AIR tubes for the engine. I had ordered replacements from Rock Auto a while back but the GM pieces were reasonably priced and will probably be more durable in the long haul.
I also scored an correct OE GM turn signal lever which I wasn't expecting.
Classic Industries also made a few dollars off of me tonight as well. I ordered a set of reproduction interior door panels (made by PUI), a new set of upper door panel plastics, a front end bolt kit and new rocker panel emblems.
It is kind of amazing how much some of this stuff costs, but at least they're making it.
